Botox and Dysport are both neurotoxins (onabotulinumA/abobotulinumtoxinA) which inhibit the release of acetylcholine. They work to soften lines of facial expressions. Botox/Dysport are used to treat dynamic wrinkles (rhytids), or the wrinkles we make when moving face/making facial expressions. These products are most commonly used to treat wrinkles of the forehead, glabella (11’s), and crow’s feet; however, they can also be used help stop jaw pain by injecting the masseter muscle or treat migraine headaches. Botox/Dysport takes 5-7 days to take effect and generally lasts for 3-4 months. Drs. Rich and Humenansky are skilled injectors and understand the complex facial anatomy to give you your best results.
